What is in a name?

A rarity nowadays is the¬†Blue Head Agama Lizard or more commonly know as Bloukopkoggelmander. While I’m familiar with the latter and had to look up the English translation, I’m pretty sure we will have a few laughs around the office when the Aussies try to pronounce the Afrikaans name.

Colourful Camo

As far as camouflage goes, most African animals have adapted to a shade of brown with a only a few going bonkers with their party costume.
The Lilac Breasted Roller is probably one of the most colourful African birds you’ll see.
